Photo Guidelines

Submitting photos may be easy but for taking great pictures you should follow these guidelines for better representation and visual. Of course you would like us (and possibly yourself and others) to see how you have progressed and your photos are your means of reviewing your own progress of regaining your full hair. You can make your photos clear and "picture perfect" by considering the following simple guidelines:

  1. Natural lighting is best. Photos must be taken in a well-lit room without the use of the flash on your camera.

  2. Take your photos in a small room where lighting is adequate and where you have a mirror in which you can look at your reflection and judge your angles.

  3. Lighting should be slightly in front or above the subject to be photographed, in this case your head and hair.

  4. Have a friend take your photos for you. It would be easier and your photos can be taken properly. If you are to take your photos by yourself, have a steady stand for your camera to avoid blurs, set angle of the camera and use the timer feature.

  5. Be consistent. Your photos should be taken on the same angles throughout your documentation process to clearly see the progress.

90 and 40 degrees left and right and 45 degrees left and right are suggested. Face turned slightly downward to show the hairline, chin to chest to see overhead view. Move yourself, there is no need to move the camera.

  6. Use the macro feature on your camera when you need to take close up shots of your hairline or any specific area for more clarity. Use this feature from no more than 2 feet away.

  7. After you are done taking photos and documenting, assess them and see if these photos are clear and of high resolution, consistent and if they provide truthful images of what your hair really looks like, the progress that you have made all throughout.

  8. These photos of your hair must not be re-touched, enhanced or edited (no photoshop, etc.) in any way.

  9. Please supply us with picture legends for each file you submit to us so we can make sense out of it. Thanks

Thanks
